We are excited for the right individual to join our team.  Are you a CAD Technician that wants to work on interesting and exciting projects? In addition to creating fabrication drawings, you have the ability to learn quality control, CNC programming, and reverse engineering.
In addition to military and defense, we also service agriculture, mining, construction and oil and gas industries.
Responsibilities:

Prepare fabrication packages and inspection drawings in SolidWorks 3D, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
Work closely with our CAD lead and sales team to design concepts and reverse engineer parts.
Program CNC equipment (Fiber laser, Dual Head waterjet, and 5-axis plasma) using ProNest NC nesting software.
Collaborate with fabrication staff to ensure continuous improvements on fabrication packages.
Create material takeoffs and BOM lists.
Maintain a drafting filing system and a drawing numbering system to ensure traceability of all drawings and designs.

Skills and Qualifications:
Graduate of Design & Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Previously CAD/CAM Engineering Technology), Engineering Design & Drafting Technology, Innovative Manufacturing, or equivalent. A combination of experience and education will be taken into consideration.
1  3 years experience in technical drafting and design.
Experience in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or Inventor.
Experience with SolidWorks Inspection and/ or Polyworks is an asset.
Proficiency in MS Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to work alone with minimum supervision as well as a part of a team.
Perform work accurately with an extreme attention to detail and quality.
Must be fluent in English, spoken and written.
A criminal record check and a passed security assessment are required prior to being hired.
