Key Duties and Responsibilities:
? Prepare and cook dishes and side dishes from the menu.
? Prepare special dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
? Plan menus and determine the size of food portions, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
? Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
? Work with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to develop new dishes and menus
? Manage and train junior kitchen staff
? Ensure all food is prepared and presented to a high standard and on time
? Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
? Estimate expected food consumption and order ingredients/supplies.
? Clean and inspect the kitchen and work areas.
? Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
? Manage kitchen operations.
? Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
Education: Academic: Secondary school graduation certificate required.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of related cooking experience is required.
