Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Odours. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Cut carcasses, sides and quarters. Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat. Remove bones from meat. Cut poultry into parts. Cut fish into steaks and fillets. Prepare special orders. Prepare special displays of meats, poultry and fish products. Shape, lace and tie roasts, other meats, poultry and seafood. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Fast-paced environment. Standing for extended periods. Attention to detail. Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Experience: Will train. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youths.
