Job Responsibilities:
• Conduct research, initiate communication, and engage in negotiations with suppliers to purchase necessary building materials at the most favorable price.
• Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials and subcontractor services for construction projects.
• Examine project blueprints, requirements, and agreements to guarantee accurate purchase of equipment, materials, and subcontractor services.
• Manage the budget and provide full records and details of stock, ensuring materials and stock are onsite as required.
• Consult with suppliers and review quotations, determine or negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• Arrange the transportation of materials to the construction site.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with a network of contacts and suppliers.
• Reach out to both clients and suppliers to address and resolve any issues that may arise.
