Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Private sector. Rural area. Various locations. Willing to relocate. Relocation costs not covered by employer. Tasks: Assess the current status of a given area for sustainable forest management. Conduct forest inventory cruises, surveys and field measurement. Help forest managers in planning access routes and forest roads. Provide forestry education, advice and recommendations to woodlot owners. Provide technical support to forestry research. Technical experience: Airphoto interpretation. Soil analysis. Area of specialization: Forest hydrology. Land and forest classification. Forest measurement and inventory assessment. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel. Public transportation is not available. Travel expenses paid by employer. Valid driver's licence. Willing to travel regularly. Driver's abstract. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Attention to detail. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking.
