WHERE YOU COME IN

We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator to join our team at Make-A-Wish Canada. Reporting to the Director, Business Applications, they will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day support, configuration, maintenance, and improvement of our Salesforce platform. The Salesforce Administrator will lead the continued development of our Salesforce.com environments, related apps, tools, and data integrations to support greater efficiencies and access to actionable information.  


The administrator will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes and functionality within a structured CRM strategy.   They will also support data management activities including complex data loading and data cleansing to organizational standards.  This role is part technical, part administrator, and part Salesforce analyst.

 

This role is located in Toronto (North York) and is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Support the user community; resolve system, process, and data-related issues within set performance metrics.
  • Design, develop, and deploy changes to the environments maintaining change control protocols.
  • Coordinate the evaluation, scope, and completion of new development requests.
  • Support all system administrative functions, including user account maintenance, workflows, reports and dashboards, scheduled jobs, and other routine tasks.
  • Serve as a primary system administrator for the Salesforce.com environment, related tools, and integration solutions.
  • Develop new data integrations and automating processes where feasible and continually maintain data health and value.
  • Complete regular internal system audits, manage release updates, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity controls.
  • Provide technical subject-matter expertise of CRM best practices, business process design, data management, and overall functional capabilities of the Salesforce platform, and identify opportunities for the organization as new functionality is released.
  • Effectively act as the liaison between our users, vendors, and the application development partners.
  • Other duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU BRING

  • Post-secondary education in an Information Technology-related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Salesforce Administrator certification required.   Advanced Administrator, Architect, and Developer certifications are an asset.
  • 5+ years of work experience in a Salesforce administrator role responsible for fully managing a Salesforce environment and supporting 100+ users.
  • Expert understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom apps and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity.
  • Experience using Salesforce DevOps Center or GitHub for release management is an asset.
  • Experience in the following technologies is an asset:  Salesforce NonProfit Success Pack (NPSP), Form Assembly, Demand Tools, Omatic Cloud, and Canadian Tax Receipting.
  • Understanding of basic triggers/Apex code knowledge.
  • Proficient in Office 365 with expert-level skills in Excel.
  • Experience in loading complex, related data sets into the Salesforce environment.
  • Strong data management experience including developing scripts/jobs to standardize and cleanse data.
  • A demonstrated ability to understand and articulate complex requirements.
  • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests.
  • Logical, process-oriented thinker with ability to quickly learn new technologies and apply to business challenges.
  • Ability to communicate both written and orally in English; French is an asset.
  • A clear Criminal Background Check will be required.

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid work environment (2 days in-office, 3 days remote per week) with occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours.
  • Occasional day/overnight travel.

 

Physical/Mental Effort

  • Works under pressure with multiple tight deadlines, demands, high volume workload, and dynamic/overlapping priorities.
