Senior Accountant/ Financial Reporting Specialist

This is a 12 to 18-month contract for a senior accountant/ financial reporting specialist. If you are a public practice accountant looking for a role in industry, then this is an excellent opportunity for you!

ABOUT THE CLIENT

Impact Recruitment has partnered with a mining company in Richmond that is on the hunt for a senior accountant/financial reporting specialist, the ideal candidate is a designated CPA with 3+ years of relevant experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the corporate accounting manager, the financial reporting specialist will be responsible for, but not limited too:

• Prepare financial reports, analyze any technical areas of accounting under IFRS reporting.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements in multiple currencies.
• Prepare equity accounting and pension financial statements.
• Perform financial analysis as needed and work with teams across the globe.
• Work in collaboration with external accountants for year-end audit and tax work.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

• Designated CPA
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Public practice experience is an asset
• Experience working with IFRS is an asset.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

• Salary: $90,000 to $110,000
• 3 weeks’ vacation
• Extended health and dental.
• Discretionary bonus
