ABOUT
St. Augustine School in Kitsilano is hiring a Grade 3 Teacher starting in September 2024. This is a full-time position for the entire academic year. Candidates will have a background in primary teaching and be willing and capable of working collaboratively with the teacher in our other Grade 3 class (we are a double-stream school), Education Assistants, parents, and their fellow teachers and staff members. The successful candidate will assist with the extra-curricular program of the school and be involved in school life. It is an asset to have taught primary literacy; have a proficiency in technology and, in particular, the use of SeeSaw and Google Classroom, and have experience using programs such as Reading and Writing Power, Reading A-Z, PM Benchmarks, and Second Step in your teaching are also assets. On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply. Our major hiring season is in April for the following school year, but we recommend that you apply now as we receive an influx of applications.
