  Description :  
First Transit Canada / Transdev located at 3032 Gladys Ave, Abbotsford, BC V2S 3Y2 is looking for an Office Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position with 30-40 hours per week. The wage will be $29.00 per hour. We also provide additional benefits such as Health and Dental Insurance and RRSP matching.

The following are the major responsibilities:

• Excellent planning and coordination skills in organizing meetings, schedules, and committee meetings. Compile all
materials for meetings.
• Manage the manual and computerized scheduling practices of the Fraser Valley Region Transit System
• Proficient editing and proofreading of letters, documents, and customer service reports and memos
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prepare and distribute meeting minutes
• Handling clerical and administrative duties such as answering calls, ordering supplies, and preparing
presentations
• Maintaining and organizing office documentation and employee records for Compliance
• Developing, implementing, and updating administrative policies and procedures
• Ensure there is full office vacation coverage – various departments
• Office coverage when needed - (training provided)
• High level attention to detail
• Research analytical skills to gather information

Requirements for this position are :

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Previous Office Coordination experience (preferred)
• Must be discrete, diplomatic and possess the ability to be proactively problem solve, and provide excellent
client services to internal and external clients
• Interpret and analyze data, able to identify challenges or opportunities and make recommendations
• Strong customer service skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience using M365 tools such as of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint,
SharePoint etc.
• Strong verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette skills; ability to respond and present
professionally to callers and customers
• Highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision
