Title of the position: Senior Scientific Programmer cum Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job duties:
· Conceptualize, Design and lead the development of an Artificial Intelligence based Transportation Management System for commercial carriers.
· Research the latest scientific literature to deliver simulation-based solutions for transportation problems in the context of intercountry carriers.
· Leverage the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence and Machine learning for development of Transportation Management System for commercial carriers.
· Effectively communicate with various stakeholders to gather requirements, independently formulate the problem and lead the development of solution.
· Use scientific programming best practices to implement Algorithms for optimizing transportation workflow.
· Use Machine Learning techniques to mine insights from company data.
· Automate data collection and analysis of data from carrier sensors for route planning
· Develop data analysis pipelines for analyzing historical company data.
· Set up databases and develop custom ETL tools for efficient storage and retrieval of company data
· Develop scripts and programs to automate data collection, data retrieval and data analysis tasks in company.
· Teach and train other personnel in the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques for analysis of company data.
Skills Required and Education:
PhD in a computational/mathematical modeling domain in a quantitative area such as industrial engineering, chemical engineering, materials science, computational physics or similar with ability to deliver solutions.
Research Experience as a PhD student/Postdoc from an accredited Canadian/US University
Demonstrated experience as a scientific programmer with at least 4 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals in the computational domain.
At least 15 credit hours of graduate level coursework in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning from an accredited Canadian/US University
Extensive experience in scientific programming using Fortran and/or C++
Hands on experience with Python and/or R for developing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions
Deep knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning libraries such as scikit-learn, Numpy, Scipy, Pandas etc.
Ability to work independently to deliver modeling and simulation solutions for transportation problems
Ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders.
Ability to teach and train others in the use of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Libraries.
Ability to understand and comprehend technical literature relating to chemical field such as pertaining to catalysis, pollution, emissions and EPA guidelines.
Terms of Employment: Full time, Permanent
Wages: $46.50/ Hour
