Job Title: Accounting Technician
Markham, ON
Full-time, Permanent
$28.5 per hour, at least 30 hours per week
Toronto Tax Group is a chartered professional accounting firm located in Markham, ON. We provide business and individual tax services.
Job description:
• Complete full-cycle bookkeeping services for clients using QuickBooks and Excel.
• Organize and update financial documents regarding client’s business operations, maintain financial databases and backup for preparing financial statement.
• Prepare year-end filings, including personal tax returns, corporation income tax returns and T4/T4A slips.
• Provide internal financial reports, bank reconciliation, and accounts analysis.
• Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Qualifications and Requirements
• At least three years’ bookkeeping experience in a professional accounting firm
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Cantax, Caseware, and FormMaster
Employment requirements
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or completion of two years (first level) of a recognized professional accounting program (e.g., Chartered Accounting, Certified General Accounting) or courses in accounting or bookkeeping combined with several years of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.
