Job duties:
- Measure and cut forms, shapes, and materials according to specification
- Sew fabric and attach it to foam, plastic, and other materials according to costume design
- Fit and alter costumes to meet each client's request or specifications
- Plan each project and follow patterns and outlines
- Keep track of material usage to minimize waste
- Use a variety of hand tools, including knives, scissors, and glue guns, as well as machinery, such as sewing machines, to complete and assemble finished products
Terms of employment: Full-time or part-time shifts available; day shifts; Full-time staff will work approximately 35-40 hours per week, whereas part-time staff hours will vary.
Wage: $18.25/hour

Education required: Completion of post-secondary certificate or diploma in tailoring, dressmaking, fashion design, or related fine arts program is required for the position.
Work experience required: No specific work experience is required for the position. Several years of experience working as a tailor may substitute for required education.
Skill requirement: Knowledge of essential sewing techniques and competency with a sewing machine must be demonstrated for this position.
Language requirement: Reading and speaking English is required.
