Allied Salvage is and has always been a family business. The company was initiated by Isador Weinstein in 1952. Isador’s son, George Weinstein, joined the company shortly after its inception. Arthur Weinstein, the current director and grandson of Isador, first became involved with the company in 1965 during his teenage years. Arthur Weinstein’s son, Ian, has worked for Allied since 2003. The company’s history spans more than 70 years and four generations. Allied Salvage was founded upon Isador’s family-oriented values and continues to follow the same guiding principles today.

Job duties of Metal Labourer include:
• Transport raw materials, finished products, scrap and recyclable materials throughout plant manually or using forklift or other powered equipment
• Feed conveyors, crushers and other equipment; open valves and start pumps; skim dross from furnaces; sort, stack, bundle and stamp materials; and perform other activities to assist process and machine operators in mineral ore and metal processing
• Clean work areas and equipment
• May assist with minor repairs and maintenance.
Language of work: English
Required education: High school or equivalent
Required work experience: Experience is an asset
