Title of the position: Import/Export Operations Coordinator

Job duties:
• Customs Compliance: Ensuring compliance with customs regulations and requirements for both imports and exports. This involves accurately preparing and verifying import/export documentation, such as customs declarations, invoices, and shipping documents.
• Coordination of Shipments: Coordinating shipments from suppliers, manufacturers, or customers to ensure timely delivery of goods. This involves liaising with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics providers to arrange transportation and manage the shipping process.
• Communication: Serving as a point of contact for internal teams, external vendors, and customers to address inquiries, provide status updates on shipments, and resolve any issues that may arise during the import/export process.
• Regulatory Compliance: Staying informed about trade regulations, tariffs, and international trade agreements to ensure adherence to legal requirements. This includes understanding import/export laws, restrictions, and licensing requirements.
• Documentation Management: Managing and maintaining accurate records of all import/export transactions, including bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other necessary documentation.
• Cost Analysis: Calculating shipping costs, tariffs, duties, and taxes associated with import/export transactions. Monitoring expenses to optimize logistics operations and minimize costs.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborating with supply chain partners, such as suppliers, distribution centers, and warehouses, to streamline the import/export process and ensure efficient movement of goods.
• Problem Solving: Resolving issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance, damaged goods, or other logistical challenges that may impact import/export operations.
• Continuous Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings within the import/export function. Implementing best practices and strategies to enhance logistics operations.
• Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with vendors, carriers, customs brokers, and other stakeholders involved in the import/export process to ensure smooth operations and successful transactions.

Terms of employment: Full-time, Permanent
