Job Duties:
1. Examine and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the circuit layout of electrical systems.
2. Install power outlets, switches, circuit breakers, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components by running wires through walls, ceilings, and floors.
3. Install bracket support, lighting control, and correct types of wires to the main electrical panels and subpanels that distribute electrical power safely.
4. Set up new electrical equipment, connect wires to panels with the appropriate breakers, and secure the connection to devices by using wire nuts and electrical tape.
5. Test the functions of all circuit components after each installation or repair to ensure a high standard of service from us.
6. Conduct inspections to identify potential issues or safety hazards, utilize testing devices such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and voltage testers to diagnose issues, and repair or replace faulty components through isolation diagnosis.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical regulations; implement safety measures, follow safety protocols, and use proper protective equipment while working on sites.
8. Explain electrical issues and solutions to clients in a clear and concise manner; provide on-site inspection and recommend improvement or upgraded electrical systems to clients.
9. Document the inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities through detailed records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
Qualifications:
1. The completion of secondary school is required.
2. 1 - 2 years of working experience in a relevant role.
3. Completion of a trade apprenticeship program or possession of a trade certification is an asset.
4. Proficient with handling electrical wires and technician tools safely.
5. Outstanding in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical problems.
6. Possess good communication skills that deliver clear explanations of technical issues to clients and co-workers.
7. Flexibility and adaptability to work in various environments and conditions.
