For more than 60 years, Brandt Meats has been proudly creating artisan quality deli meats in the European tradition. To improve our operations we are looking for a Quality control technician to join our team.
Qualifications:
Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Compile records for analytical studies.
Assist in developing programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards.
Assist in the development of standards, and health and safety measures.
Compile records and interpret experimental or analytical results.
Develop and conduct programs of sampling and analysis.
Conduct safety training programs.
Perform other duties associated with monitoring and verifying the HACCP and Pre-requisite Programs
Monitor and document employee’s adherence to the company’s HACCP policies and food safety procedures – GMPs
Report any problems with the food safety management system
Requirements:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
2-year experience in a quality control role within the food processing industry is advantageous.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
Ability to lift and move equipment or materials up to 50 pounds
