Land Survey Field Technician
Cameron Ltd. located at 234 – 18525 53rd Ave Surrey, British Columbia V3S 7A4 is seeking to hire a fill in a permanent position of a qualified Land Survey Field Technician.
Skills Requirements:
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in the field.
• Completion of a two- to three-year college program in geomatics, earth sciences, or a related field at a minimum.
• Ability to operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment
• Excellent AutoCAD skills
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Duties:
• Assist in a two-person survey crew in conducting land survey jobs.
• Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
• Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, charts and plans
• Assist survey engineers or professional surveyors to develop methods and procedures for conducting field surveys
• Conduct field surveys and operate survey instruments and computer equipment to measure distance, angles, elevations and contours
• Determine precise geographic locations using global positioning systems (GPS) equipment
• Prepare detailed drawings, charts and plans and survey notes and reports
• Record measurements and other information obtained during field survey activities
• Other related duties as required.
Compensation package: Workload of 30 hours per week at a minimum paid at $38.46 per hour. Health benefits include Dental plan, disability benefits, Health care plan, Vision care benefits, massage, therapy, and other benefits subject to corporate benefit policies.
