Job duties include:
• Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting
• Carcasses, sides, and quarters should be cut
• Prepare special cuts of meat ordered by customers
• Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
• Wrap and package the prepared meat according to the requirements
• Prepare specialty items such as sausages, marinated meats, and stuffed roasts
• Supervise other butchers, meat cutters, and fishmongers
• Shape, lace, and tie roasts, other meats, poultry, and seafood
• Maintain a clean work area and kitchen
• Prepare special displays of meats, poultry, and fish products
Experience: No experience is required. Experience is an asset.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
