Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English is required;
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
- 2 years to less than 3 years of commercial baking experience or completion of a three- or four-year apprenticeship program for bakers or completion of a college or other program for bakers is required.
Job duties:
- Bake and prepare cakes such as Peach Earl Grey, Kyoto Matcha Yuzu, Strawberry Short Cake, Chocolate Hazelnt Cake and Jasmine Darjeeling Mousse Cake;
- Prepare dough for cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders;
- Operate machinery;
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies;
- Bake mixed dough and batters;
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods;
- Draw up production schedules;
- Ensure products meet the quality standards of Bloom.
