Job Requirements:
Help to develop and implement individualized education programs tailored to each student's needs;
Provide individualized attention to children, helping them understand and complete assignments;
Support children within the classroom, ensuring they are engaged and participating in activities;
Help children with daily living activities, such as eating, dressing, and personal hygiene, as needed;
Observe and record student behaviour to track progress and identify areas needing adjustment;
Work collaboratively with other educators, therapists, and school staff to support student development.
Requirements:
Completion of a college program in special education
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Relevant work experience is an asset
The ability to remain patient and understanding when working with children who have various needs and challenges
