Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
The role is in a fast-paced environment and involves a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. It requires strong attention to detail, is physically demanding, involves handling heavy loads, and necessitates good hand-eye coordination.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Clean meats to prepare for processing or cutting.
2. Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat; remove bones from meat and cut poultry into parts.
3. Grind meats and slice cooked meats; prepare special orders and wrap or package prepared meats; price meat products.
4. Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards.
5. Manage inventory and stock refrigerators and freezers.
6. Provide customer service by taking orders and answering questions.
7. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
1. A high school diploma is required.
2. Previous experience in meat and fish processing is preferred.
3. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
4. Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety are essential.
5. The role also requires physical stamina and the ability to handle heavy loads.
