Located on the beautiful Shuswap Lake, BC, we are proud to offer a wide selection of both new and pre-owned boats for sale. In addition, we provide top-notch maintenance services to ensure our customers’ boats remain in optimal condition.
We are in search of a highly proficient and self-motivated Electrical Engineering Technician to become an integral part of our dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
1. Conducting inspections of boat electrical systems using electrical, and electronic testing devices, along with precision measuring instruments, to diagnose and address faults promptly.
2. Utilizing manufacturer's manuals, circuit diagrams, and blueprints to determine tailored tests and maintenance procedures for instruments crucial in measuring and controlling variables specific to boat systems, such as flow, level, pressure, temperature, and chemical composition.
3. Implementing repairs and adjustments to enhance the functionality of system components, including sensors, transmitters, and programmable logic controllers. In instances of defects, efficiently removing and replacing faulty parts.
4. Ensuring the reliability of instruments by precise calibration of components, aligning them with manufacturers' specifications and standards.
5. Executing scheduled preventive maintenance work on boat electrical systems and providing detailed reports on tests and maintenance activities.
6. Expertly installing and integrating control and measurement instruments on both existing and new boat equipment.
7. Collaborating with boat operators to offer insights and recommendations for optimizing electrical systems, thereby enhancing overall boat performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
• College diploma in a related field.
• At least 3 years of directly work experience in electronic equipment installation, maintenance and repairs, preferably in the marine industry;
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturer’s manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints;
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
