Job Description
Vancouver Institute for Evangelical Worldview (VIEW) is seeking a dedicated and accomplished professional to join our esteemed faculty as an Associate Professor (NOC 41200) specializing in Counseling Psychology integrated with Christian worldview. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our vibrant academic community located at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, Canada.

• Position: Associate Professor in Counseling Psychology (NOC 41200)
• Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
• Salary: CAD 84,240.00 annually (based on 30-hour work per week)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach Counseling Psychology courses to students enrolled in the Master of Divinity in Worldview and Peace Studies and the Master of Arts in Christian Worldview Studies programs, including the online variant.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and facilitate discussion groups on Counseling Psychology, integrating evangelical perspectives, for students in the Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate Programs.
• Prepare, administer, and grade examinations, laboratory assignments, and reports in Counseling Psychology for students across the programs.
• Conduct special lecture(s) for the community on special occasions.
• Advise students on academic and career decisions, focusing on vocational paths in evangelical counseling within the programs and mentor graduate students in their research endeavors.
• Develop a Christian perspective on your research area, especially in integrating counseling with the Christian faith.
• Conduct and direct research in Counseling Psychology, publishing findings in relevant scholarly journals or books.
• Determine areas of research to increase knowledge in Christian Worldview.
• Participate in collaborative investigations and research depending on the needs of VIEW.
• Represent VIEW as a speaker and guest lecturer on Counseling Psychology at various events.
• Share your knowledge and experience with the VIEW student, faculty, and community.
• Provide professional consultative services to organizations and individuals.

Qualifications and Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the field at a post-secondary educational institution
• PhD in Counseling Psychology or a related field
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement at a post-secondary educational institution
• Preference for candidates with a strong interest and research experience centered around Christian worldview integration
• Fluency in Korean would be beneficial due to the significant presence of Korean-speaking students
