Job Type: Full-time, permanent position (30-40 hours per week). Overtime paid at 1.5 times after 40 hours per week.
Wage: $30 per hour.

JOB REQUIREMENT
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience. Relevant trade certifications are an asset.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in carpentry
Language: English

JOB DUTIES
Study blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand project specifications.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools.
Prepare estimates of labor and material costs.
Schedule and coordinate work on sites.
Maintain, repair, and renovate wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures.
Use hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines to complete tasks.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
Collaborate with other construction professionals.
