Education Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management
Experience required:
? At least 2 years working experience in a HR Generalist role in the Canadian Education Sector is required
? A minimum of 2 years working experience in a Canadian Independent School Environment would be considered a competitive advantage/asset
? Hands-on experience in managing Smartsheets, ADP Workforce Now, Blackbaud Education Edge/Green Room software programs is mandatory
? Experience in managing Applicant Tacking Systems (ATS) such as Apply to Education and other recruitment websites such as LinkedIn, Indeed and other job boards is required
Main Duties
• Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
• Provide information or services, such as employee assistance and counselling
• Prepare and post notices and advertisements
• Collect and screen applicants
• Advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment
• Review candidate inventories
• Contact potential applicants to arrange interviews
• Recruit graduates of colleges, universities and other educational institutions
• Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
• Notify applicants of results of selection process and prepare job offers
• Advise managers and employees on staffing policies and procedures
• Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training
• Recruit and hire staff
• Support staff forecasting and projections for all Summer Academic Programs (SAP) and help determine the current and future staffing needs of the school.
• Examine candidate lists and be the first point of contact for all Sumer Academic Program (SAP) recruitment activities and enquires
• Participate in internal and external surveys and benchmarking projects that are in alignment with the practices and guidelines of the Canadian Accredited Independent School (CAIS) and the Conference of Independent Schools of Ontario (CIS Ontario)
