Job Duties: 
1.Use bookkeeping software and systems to record financial transactions, and maintain accurate ledgers. Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
2.Calculate and process payroll, including tax deductions, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. Prepare cheques for utility, tax, and other bills.
3.Calculate fixed assets and depreciation, and assist in preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
4.Prepare tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Conduct basic financial analysis, offering insights and recommendations on financial data.
5.Post journal entries, compile balances from all ledger accounts, verify the accuracy of the trial balance, and prepare reports and summaries based on the trial balance for management review, auditing purposes, and financial reporting.
6.Calculate tax liabilities, and complete and submit tax remittance forms, including ROE, T4, T4A, and other government documents. Gather worker information to complete worker compensation and pension contribution forms.  
7.Interact with clients to gather financial information, clarify accounting issues, and provide support and guidance as needed.
8.Assist with audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and support during audits conducted by external auditors.



Qualifications:
1.A college diploma in Accounting, Mathematics, Bookkeeping, or other related field is required.
2.1 - 2 years of proven experience as an accounting technician or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
3.Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, TaxCycle, Caseware, and Excel.
4.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5.Thorough understanding of relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
6.Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies, conduct reconciliations, and prepare accurate financial reports.
7.Good communication skills.
