About this opportunity
We are now seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success, which is a permanent position. As a Business Development Officer, you will be an integral part of our growth strategy, responsible for identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities and driving our revenue expansion. You will work 40 hours per week at our business location at 535 Yates St, Victoria, BC, V8W 2Z6.

You will need to:
• Design and conduct market research to analyze industry trends, competition and development opportunities, such as designing and conducting surveys and questionnaires.
• Analyze market data and insights into customers’ preferences, such as analyzing the information that the customers provide through our website about using our products in their daily lives.
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets and objectives for our company.
• Target potential brands and partners for collaboration and expansion, especially for our e-commerce platform.
• Maintain strong relationships with our existing clients, global retailers, and other partners.
• Actively identify and assess any business opportunities for expansion.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, partners or other stakeholders.
• Plan development projects, events or other activities to expand the professional network with other companies, retailers, communities or other associations in this industry.
• Evaluate and respond to any development opportunities or proposals inquiries and make recommendations for our company’s growth.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of business development processes and strategies.
What we expect about you:
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce, business administration or other related field is required; a higher education certificate is an asset.
• At least 2 years of working experience in business development/consulting/analysis or similar field.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
• Results-oriented and motivated to achieve targets.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
