Salary
• $55000 per annum. ($26.44/hr. paid biweekly)
Duties and responsibilities
• Implementing Quality control plans and compliance with established procedures like HACCP, SOPs and GMPs. Compiling records of deviations for analysis.
• Assisting in microbial and chemical experiments, test and laboratory analysis by preparing food samples. Compiling the records of experiment results.
• Collecting and analyzing samples on a weekly or monthly basis as applicable for maintaining quality standard.
• Perform environmental swabbing water sampling and salmonella sampling procedures for food, environment and water quality monitoring and protection. Supporting chemical testing and analysis by preparing and providing samples.
• Perform pre-operational inspection before production starts for maintaining acceptable quality standard. Compiling records of any non-compliance.
• Review, compilation and verification of production work and relevant records.
• Operating, maintaining and calibrating equipment like metal detectors, gas analyzer, thermometers, experimental apparatus etc.
• Participating in Recalls and Mock recall programs.
• Assist the QA supervisor and manager in internal and External audits such as CFIA and SQF.
Education
• College diploma (Education in relevant trade is an asset)
Qualifications & Experience
• Quality Control Experience of 6 months to 1 year is required
• Experience in same field is an asset
• Must work mixed shifts depending upon the schedule

• Ability to analyze data and identify trends or issues
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and documentation.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data collection and analysis.
Physical requirements
• Standing for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to handle small and delicate equipment or samples
