$30.00 per hour for 35 - 40 hours a week

You will be required to work at various locations according to installation needs of the clients.

Specific Skills
• Prepare the layout of the project and estimate the height, width, length, and other proportions
• Select material and work with blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, smooth, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes
• Use chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures
• Join materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Use levels, rules, plumb bobs, framing squares, and surveying equipment to ensure everything is level and secure
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in establishments
• Collaborate with other carpenters, supervisors, and helpers to complete the projects
• Insert and direct helpers and labourers to assist performing the job duties adequately
• Follow established regulation and advocate for safety of the work sites
