Position Summary
The Financial Controller is responsible for forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost reduction analysis and reviewing operational performance of the franchised business.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Management of budget, forecasting and analysis and monthly and quarterly reporting processes
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Identify, investigate, and analyze potential operational improvement. As appropriate, based on findings make proposal for operational changes (policy, procedures, processes, etc.)
• Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements
• Preparation, analyzation and interpretation of financial statements
• Forecast cash flow positions and available funds for investment
• Assist in determining the company’s proper capital structure
• Correspondence with auditors and franchisor regarding reporting tax and audit requirements
• Management of recruiting, organizing and training of staff
• Compile key business metrics and report on them to franchisee owner
• Collaboration and communication between franchisor and franchisee owner
Knowledge and Skills
• High proficiency of Microsoft Office and other finance reporting/documenting software
• Maintain integrity, discretion and judgement when dealing with financial matters
• High aptitude for preparing, analyzing and interpreting financial results
• Work efficiently and accurately under deadlines
• Demonstrate initiative to remain organized and detail oriented in financial reporting and other documentation
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or related fields
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Finance Management, Accounting or related financial activities
Compensation: $105,000/year
