This position requires someone with a positive attitude and great work ethic, combined with excellent organizational and time management skills. The execution of projects in a timely manner and within budget is crucial to success of our business. The successful candidate for the Construction Project Manager position will work closely with our engineering and project management teams using their knowledge and skills for numerous projects, varying in size and scope.
As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for organizing, planning, directing, controlling and evaluating projects, under the direction of our Manager of Automation & Engineering.

Main Duties include:
• Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating multiple small and large projects involving internal and external labor, ensuring project specifications are met on-time and on-budget
• Procuring materials
• Demonstrating thorough understanding of customer and supplier contractual commitments,
ensuring projects are delivered in a safe manner and that our client and business
commitments are met or exceeded
• Working with our accounting team to prepare and submit project budget estimates
• Assisting with the preparation of contracts, negotiating revisions to contracts, and making changes to contracts with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors
• Planning and preparing project schedules and monitoring progress of projects
• Preparing progress reports and communicating with clients on same
• May assist with hiring and supervising the activities of subcontractors
• Working with our technical teams to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and on
budget.
• Collaborating within the project management office to create and improve project management standards and practices, improving quality control
• Working with our accounting team to provide financial reporting
• Supporting our commercial team in identifying and quoting new opportunities
• Assisting in the development of job cost estimates and attend critical customer meetings, as
needed
• Actively participating in Environmental, Health and Safety protocol and developing a thorough
understanding of our safety policies and procedures
• Understanding critical industry standards

Employment Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Diploma in construction management is preferred, but several years’ experience as a construction supervisor or superintendent will be considered.
• Project management certification is an asset
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
