Position/Job Title: Carpenter (NOC 72310)
Description: Carpenters construct, erect, install, maintain, and repair structures and components of structures made of wood. They are employed by construction companies, carpentry contractors and other establishments.
Job Location: Surrey, BC
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Number of openings: 2
Position: Permanent - Full Time
Wage: $30/hr.
Language: English is required.
Job Duties:
Maintain, repair, fit, install, trim, and renovate residences and wooden structures.
Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, lightweight steel, and other materials.
Review blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.
