Job Summary:

Amico Corporation is seeking a highly skilled CAD Specialist with strong technical expertise and a passion for growth to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with a range of software used in architectural design and building information modeling (BIM). The CAD Specialist will be responsible for a variety of design and drafting activities, including preparing and updating drawings for projects, creating assembly and manufacturing drawings, and establishing guidelines for CAD data management. Key duties include creating 2D/3D drawings using Microvellum software, updating quotes, reviewing plans and specifications, and participating in technical calls with clients. This role offers tremendous growth opportunities in a dynamic and supportive environment, with additional tasks assigned as needed.

Duties and responsibilities may include some or all of the following:

• Producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings for hospital headwall designs based on architectural construction documents using CAD workstations such as Microvellum, Revit, 3D Max, and Unreal Engine for visualization.
• Developing 3D Revit BIM models of pre-fabricated hospital headwalls in accordance with design specifications from construction documents.
• Creating and updating preliminary presentations, submittal drawings, and quotations for projects.
• Communicating with clients to discuss the technical aspects of the project.
• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings for the production team, utilizing CAD software for the fabrication of healthcare products such as headwalls and architectural casework.
• Generating technical reports with a Bill of Materials (BOM) using Microvellum for planners and schedulers.
• Reviewing and completing documents and submittal packages to ensure timely and accurate project progress.
• Drafting projects based on site codes and conditions outlined in plans and specifications and reviewing hospital plans and specification data to gather necessary information for project completion in compliance with manufacturing requirements.
• Identifying potential issues early and providing solutions to the Sales and Project Management teams.
• Creating quote estimates to assist clients with cost breakdowns and budget planning.
• Leading the Revit department by providing 3D renders and architectural product animations for the sales team for bidding and presentation purposes.
• Developing design guides for Research and Development teams, utilizing high levels of detail (LOD) in 3D product models.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilize building information modeling (BIM) and Adobe creative cloud for various design and documentation tasks.
• Employ Autodesk Revit for BIM and detailed architectural design.
• Work with Autodesk products, including SketchUp, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, and VRay.
• Apply Microvellum Software for detailed design and production planning.
• Use Lumion for high-quality 3D visualizations and rendering.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Microvellum, MS Word, and Excel.
• Proficiency in Revit: Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and architectural design.
• Experience with Autodesk products: Skilled in SketchUp, 3DS Max, Adobe Photoshop, and V-Ray.
• Experience with Microvellum Software.
• Experience with Lumion.
• Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch.) or a related field, along with a certification in engineering design or a similar discipline.
• Work experience in architecture, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, or a related specialization.
