Job Duties:
Examining plans and measuring the area that must be tiled.
Forming tile beds using concrete, plaster, mastic, cement, glue, or mortar utilizing tools.
Align and position tiles as the specified pattern with the use of squares, and straightedges.
Applying tiling grout and cement while arranging tiles.
Ensure no tile breakage or any other damage during installation.
Cutting, polishing, and surfacing marbles and granites for a smoother surface.
Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, such as cutters, bolts, and trowels to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Make tile and stone installations according to specifications, using tile cutters, tile saws, tile drills, and other tools.
Clean, polish, level, and seal work surfaces by performing grouting operations.
Creating decorative tile designs as per client specifications.
Inspect completed tile work for quality and make necessary adjustments.
Provide cost estimations to the clients and odder stock supplies.
Requirements:
Completion of High School is required.
Experience in the same field is an asset.
