Job Duties:
Regularly monitor the refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to prevent and address issues.
Monitor and inspect refrigeration equipment
Provide technical support and guidance to the operations team, including training new staff
Monitor product quality and ensure that refrigeration systems meet the required specifications for temperature control and product preservation
Develop and implement emergency response plans for equipment failures, leaks, or other emergencies to minimize safety risks and environmental impacts
Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records and work orders
Provide training and guidance to junior operators or maintenance personnel to develop their skills and knowledge in refrigeration system operation and maintenance
Requirements:
College training program in power engineering
Provincial or territorial power engineering certificate
Several years of experience is needed
Working knowledge of Food Safety (GMP, HACCP, AIB and SQF) and Ontario Regulatory bodies
