About the Role: Your role will be to design, implement, maintain, and monitor database systems. You succeed through effective cross-functional collaboration in areas such as, but not limited to, development, product, and QA in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Duties:
• Operate database management systems and provide quality assurance of incoming data sources, audit internal systems, catch exceptions
• Gather requirement specifications necessary for establishing testing scope
• Connect to multiple internal/external company systems, to retrieve, combine, and aggregate data to support business objectives
• Collect and document user requirements in addition to organizing, transforming, and presenting data from a variety of sources
• Create standard and ad-hoc reports based on business needs
• Build systems to automate business processes and report
• Conduct research and perform in-depth analysis of database management tools by weighing relevance and accuracy of information to provide alternative solutions while appropriately incorporating input from others
• Provide status and results of testing activities
• Design and develop database architecture for information systems projects
• Communicate regularly with team members, data analysts and advocates for resolution of high priority problems and provide advice to other information systems professionals regarding the collection, availability, security and suitability of data
• Write and use scripts related to stored procedures and maintain automated scripts to increase efficiencies in testing
• Continue improvement of the QA framework and foundational work, manage test environment and data to support and execute testing
• Implement and review project QA processes, standards, and tools
• When required, assist with testing features manually, creating QA Test Plans and Test Cases
• Develop and implement data administration policy, standards, and models
Requirements:
? Completion of a College program in Computer Science or related Engineering field
? Minimum 1-2 years of software engineering work experience is required
? Computer programming and related experience such as AWS, Python and any scripting languages is required
? Strong experience with SQL and stored procedure testing with the ability to write SQL queries for testing purpose
? Strong experience in automating API tests
? Possess strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of team members
? Highly experienced in data management and reporting (Excel, Python, SQL)
? Experience with Excel (VLOOUPs, conditional formatting, etc.)
? Displays high aptitude for math and analytics, and has ability to learn new tools/technologies
