We are looking to hire 4 permanent full time steel stud framers for various locations across lower mainland as soon as possible.
Job Duties include:
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Employment Requirements:
• The positions require an experience of 1 to 2 years in steel stud framing.
• Minimum high school education is required
• Ideal candidates should be accurate, client focused, reliable, team player and have sound judgement.
• The position is physically demanding and requires, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads and good hand-eye co-ordination as well as a combination of sitting, standing and walking.
• The candidate may be required to work at heights, in confined spaces, in noisy places and in strong odours.
Terms of Employment:
The candidates are expected to be available for work for early morning, morning, daytime and weekend shifts. These are full time (40 hours per week) and permanent position with a salary of $30.00/Hour.
