Title of the position: Family Doctor – NOC 31102
Number of positions available: two.
Term of employment: 35h to 40h per week – full time – permanent position.
Language: English.
Wage: Fee for Service (80%(Physician)/20%(clinic) - (Est. between C$231,407 and C$400,000 per annum)

Job Duties
• Conduct routine health check-ups.
• Provide comprehensive wellness exams.
• Build a long-term relationship with patients.
• Review patient files and maintain records for allergies, medical problems, medications, immunization status, and familial history.
• Examine patients for symptoms.
• Provide diagnosis after a thorough evaluation and discuss treatment planning.
• Order diagnostic tests and diagnostic images for evaluation of a medical condition.
• Interprets diagnostic test results.
• Schedule follow-up examinations.
• Administering vaccinations.
• Administers or prescribes treatment.
• Educating and counseling patients in the prevention and management of the disease.
• Act as a life coach and educate the patient about diet, physical activity, weight, and habits.
• Assess the growth and development of a child.
• Monitor age-appropriate cancer screening and identify emerging medical conditions.
• Provide recommendations and referrals to a specialist doctor.
• Determines and prescribes medication, dosage, and schedule according to the patient’s condition and allergies.
• Provides a renewal of prescriptions and refills.
Requirements
• Medical Degree from an approved medical school.
• Must be a registered member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• Two to three years family medicine residency training.
• Familiar with industry best practices.
• Ability to work under pressure while always maintaining a professional image.
• Working independently with little direct supervision.
• Have a well-balanced concern for both tasks and people.
• Have a genuine concern for the needs of patients.
