21 Steps Kitchen and Bar, a locally owned and operated restaurant located in the heart of Whistler Village, is hiring for the position of Line Cook.
Details of the position are as follows:
• Wage: $19 - $24/hour
• Hours: full-time, 40 hours per week (but we will also consider applicants with only part time availability)
• Terms of employment: Ongoing, year-round.
• Benefits: In accordance with Employment Standards of B.C.
• Staff meal and uniform provided. Staff accommodation available.

Job duties:
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and/or prepping sauces);
• Cook menu items and prepare complete meals in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff;
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely manner;
• Supervise and oversee kitchen staff and kitchen operations;
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies;
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment;
• Stock inventory appropriately;
• Assist with the training of kitchen staff;
• Answer and report to the head chef;
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation and Food Safe regulations and safety standards;
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
Job Requirements:
• At least two years cooking experience in a similar style, high volume restaurant is required.
• Ideal candidate will have experience in various kitchen positions (e.g. sautee, fryer, salad, desert, grill, etc)
