(see http://kiwiirrigation.ca) with a location at Unit b26, 750 Railway Lane, Okanagan Falls, British Columbia, V0H1R4, Canada, has a position for an Irrigation Supervisor/Technician in the Okanagan Valley (Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and West Kelowna) British Columbia, Canada. We provide commercial and residential irrigation installations and maintenance. Work locations and travel is required from the employee in the province of British Columbia.
Irrigation Technician Duties
Read blueprints or workorder specifications to determine layout and required service or installation requirements
After reviewing the workorder or installation plan, perform a material take off for parts required
Irrigation system start-ups in the spring and fall blow outs
Install and repair Irrigation systems
Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts
Completing progress reports and associated paperwork
Utilize hand and power tools
Irrigation Supervisor Duties
Supervise 1-2 persons
Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of irrigation technicians
Verify and perform material takeoffs according to the blueprints/workorders and ensure material is available onsite
Hire and train new irrigation technicians and labourers in installation and maintenance of irrigation systems and proper safety procedures
Provide excellent customer service
Provide regular communication to owners
Wage
$34.62 per hour
40 hours per week

Experience
Several years of experience in irrigation and project management.
Strong organizational and communication skills to ensure jobs completed on time
Valid drivers’ licence
Education
Grade 12
