AMJ Campbell Calgary is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal
candidate will be detail-oriented and skilled in both manual and computerized bookkeeping
systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform month-end duties which include preparing monthly journal entries (accruals and
adjusting entries) and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Compile a trial balance for the books, and manage general ledgers
Prepare other statistical, financial, and accounting reports
Prepare and File government remittances & tax returns
Maintain and balance various accounts using both manual and computerized
bookkeeping systems
Record all expenses and sales, ensuring alignment with bank statements
Calculate and generate payroll slips/pay stubs based on the pay period type
Provide general support to the Controller and prepare various ad-hoc reports (financial)
and duties in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications:
Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field
Several years of experience of full cycle accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Off ice Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with financial soft ware and systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
Strong accounting and analytical skills.
Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and ability to
exercise independent judgment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Remuneration:
Full-time, permanent position of 30 hours per week.
Competitive hourly wage of $35.50.
