Overview: The Bar Manager organizes and controls the bar area to attract customers and increase profits. The position includes hiring and training other staff members, creating employee schedules, and ensuring customers have a fun, relaxing experience.
General Tasks:
• Evaluate daily operations
• Monitor revenues to determine labour cost
• Monitor staff performance
• Plan and organize daily operations
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Recruit staff

• Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
• Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms

Specific Tasks:
• Prepare of drinks for guests according to the bar’s specific recipes and measuring systems.
• Responsible for brainstorming ideas on new drinks and menu updates.
• Be engaged in the recruitment and selection of new staff.
• Train, motivate and engage new team members for creative output.
• Manage and monitor staff, recommending training and development, or dismissal where necessary.
• Monitor revenues and recommend modifications of procedures and/or prices.
• Resolve customer complaints
• Negotiate arrangements with guests for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
• Responsible for daily reconciliation and day end safe drops.
