Job Description
Aquamist Carpet Care is Victoria’s trusted remediation expert. We specialize in flood restoration, mold removal, and asbestos removal, ensuring safe, thorough cleanup and restoration for your home or business. We are ready to handle any emergency, with a 24-hour 7 days a week to ensure that our crews will get to you quickly. In operation since 1980, we also provide professional carpet cleaning in removing stains, odours, and allergens, using 100% organic cleaning solutions, leaving your carpets fresh, clean, and soft.
We are currently looking for a Flood and Asbestos Removal Supervisor to join our restoration team to supervise and co-ordinate our restoration services.
Main Duties include:
• Supervising, coordinating and scheduling the activities of our restoration team (between 4 to 6 persons)
• Strictly following safety protocols and ensuring restoration team are always wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe working environment
• Reporting any safety concerns or issues promptly to management, fostering our culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Supporting the restoration team to ensure project objectives are met efficiently and effectively
• Executing the tasks involved with our restoration services alongside our team, when necessary
• Requisitioning materials and supplies
• Establishing methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities
• Resolving problems and recommending measures to improve team productivity
• Preparing work progress reports
• Training our workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
• Recommending personnel actions such as hirings and promotions to our management team, when necessary
• Providing excellent communication and explanation to our customers, who are often in distress when finding their homes or businesses need restoration.
• Providing motivation and mentorship to our restoration team
• Providing feedback on employee performance to our management team
• Addressing any complaints or concerns of our customers and escalating them to management where necessary
• Ensuring the company is represented in a courteous and professional manner
Employment Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school
• Previous experience in remediation in residential and/or commercial setting
• Level 1 and Level 2 WorkSafe BC asbestos removal certification (preferred)
• Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems Certification (preferred)
• Water Damage Restoration Certificate (preferred)
