Job Location: Based out of 164 Enterprise Dr, Yellowknife, NWT, and required to work in various locations in Yellowknife, NWT. Transportation is provided by the employer.
Wage: $31.80 to $34/hr (Salary based on experience, increases based on performance).

Duties:
• Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch are achieved
• Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters
• Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms
• Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
• Monitoring the effect heat, wind, and cold have on curing concrete to ensure high-quality results
• Removing edges on expansion joints and sides
• Compacting materials using power vibrators to create levelled bases
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Polishing surfaces using smoothing materials, abrasive tools, and surfacing machines
• Finishing concrete surfaces with rough or smooth patterns depending on the customer's preference
• Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
• Applying hardening and sealing compounds to cure the surface of the concrete
• Waterproofing, damp-proofing, and restoring concrete surfaces
• Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring, and barricades
