Quattro Restaurant is seeking a Food Preparer / Dishwasher for their busy restaurant located in Whistler, British Columbia.
Duties:
• Prepare food items (wash, peel, slice, dice, trim, etc) ensuring all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to instruction, using various kitchen equipment;
• Prepare bread, rolls and other pastry according to recipe;
• Cook food items using the grill, fryer, oven and/or stovetop;
• Portion, assemble, package and garnish food;
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies and equipment
• Unpack food deliveries and stock refrigerators and cupboards using proper food safety techniques;
• Wash dishes, kitchen appliances, pots, pans and utensils, ensuring proper sanitization
• Unload the dishwasher and places clean items in appropriate storage areas
• Clean floors, disinfect kitchen benches, and empty garbage containers;
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff;
• Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.
• Other duties as required to support the kitchen team.
Working Conditions:
• Wage: $25.00/hour + gratuities;
• Full-time, permanent position;
• Business address and work location: 4319 Main Street, Whistler, British Columbia, V8E 1B1;
• 40 hours per week;
• Overtime remitted per Employment Standards of BC;
• 4% vacation remitted per pay period;
• Quattro covers 70% of your extended benefits
• Language of Work: English
Previous experience working in a kitchen is an asset, but not required.
