Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English or French is required;
- Completion of secondary (high) school is required;
- 3 years to less than 5 years of work experience as a cook or a chef in a restaurant including two years in a supervisory capacity is required.

Job duties:
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff;
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food;
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards;
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis;
- Make soup, boil noodles and prepare ingredients for Japanese Ramen noodle;
- Prepare, cook, and present Japanese style deep fried dishes such as Takoyaki, Karaage, and Age Gyoza;
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food;
- Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory;
- Analyze operating costs and other data;
- Estimate food requirements and food and labour costs;
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances if necessary;
- Recruit and hire staff;
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs if necessary;
- Ensure compliance with employment standards, human rights, health and safety, and WHMIS;
- Train, coach and develop staff to deliver a positive and performance-motivated employee culture.
