VP of Operations
The Opportunity:
C&C Supermarket is hiring a full-time VP of Operations to plan, direct, and oversee all operational activities of our supermarket. This is a senior management level position requiring strong operational management and strategic planning skills.

Detailed responsibilities:
• Optimize operational efficiency by developing and implementing strategic improvement initiatives across all areas of the supermarket
• Collaborate with departmental heads and cross-functional teams to evaluate the operations of each department and recommend process improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store performance and customer satisfaction
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
• Contribute to store profitability through meticulous analysis of revenues, expenditures, and costs to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic measures to reduce expenses
• Lead initiatives to enhance the overall customer shopping experience to encourage customer satisfaction and loyal repeat shoppers
• Identify operational risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity and resilience in the face of challenges
• Establish operational protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
• Systematically review and assess activities and outcomes to ensure progress towards achieving operational objectives
• Participate in leadership and stakeholder meetings and provide updates and progress reports as needed
• Oversee daily store operations through appropriate departmentalization and delegation of duties
• Lead and mentor the operations department, ensuring team alignment with company vision, values, and objectives
• Foster a strong culture of excellence in operational efficiency
Core Requirements:
• Master’s degree in business administration
• 8 or more years of senior operations management experience
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful operational efficiency improvement strategies
• Demonstrated history of helping companies reduce costs and improve profitability
• Familiar with collaborating with all aspects of an organization, including purchasing, supply chain, marketing, legal, accounting, and human resources
• Robust strategic planning and analytical capabilities, adept at transforming data into actionable insights
• Able to use data and KPIs in an objective, measurable manner to quantify operational improvements
• Exceptional skills in problem solving, continuous improvement, and leadership
• Strong understanding of customer service standards and how to orient operations for customer satisfaction

We offer a warm and inclusive work culture with competitive pay. You will be working out of our location at 888 Don Mills Rd., Unit 100, North York, ON M3C 1V6. The offered salary is between $122,000 to $125,000 for 37.5 hours of work per week. You are entitled to 15 days of paid vacation per year.
