Job Requirements
• Education: Completion of Secondary Education is required
• Experience: 2-3 years of previous experience
Job Duties
• Prepare food for service (e.g. Chopping vegetables, or preparing sauces)
• Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience, using various kitchen utensils and equipment
• Prepare and cook full course meals, Individual dishes and food items
• Oversee kitchen operations
• Schedule and Supervise kitchen helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• May setup and oversee buffets
• May Instruct and train staff in preparation of dishes when required
• May clean kitchen and work area
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor order supplies
