In recent years, StepUp Auto has experienced steady growth, prompting us to enhance our logistics operations to keep pace with our expanding business. As a result, we are seeking a Logistics Manager - Transportation. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week and receive an annual salary of $105,560. Below are the job duties and requirements for this position:
• Oversee the efficient dispatch, maintenance, and servicing of the company's fleet, including vehicles, vessels, or aircraft. Implement systems to optimize fleet utilization and minimize downtime.
• Continuously monitor the performance metrics of the transportation operations. Prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting key insights and recommending strategic adjustments to schedules and policies as needed.
• Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the transportation operations, ensuring alignment with StepUp Auto's growth objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
• Establish and enforce robust operational policies and standards, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols for handling hazardous materials. Ensure full compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and industry best practices.
• Administer the department's budget, focusing on cost-effective procurement and resource allocation. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising service quality.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge technology solutions, to enhance operational efficiency and communication across the logistics network.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and transportation partners. Negotiate favorable contracts and service agreements to support StepUp Auto's logistics needs, ensuring reliable and cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Lead the recruitment process for new team members, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates.
• Design and oversee comprehensive training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in business administration or related fields required.
• Five years of experience in logistics management is usually required.
• Three years of supervisory experience is required.
• Extensive supervisory experience with compound knowledge and experience in sea, land and air transportation will be preferred.
