We offer remote services to clients located throughout the Kitikmeot, Kivalliq and Qikiqtani regions as well as service clients at our offices in Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet.

Job Description:

Implement new administrative procedures
Review and evaluate new administrative procedures
Delegate work to office support staff
Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
Carry out administrative activities of establishment
Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
Perform data entry
Train staff
Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
Resolve conflict situations
Monitor and evaluate
Oversee payroll administration
Plan and control budget and expenditures


Requirements:

Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
At least 2 years of experience in a senior clerical or executive secretarial position related to office administration is required. If the candidate does not have the minimum experience, then a university degree or college diploma in business or public administration is required.
Some bookkeeping experience is required.
Ability to proficiently use phone/fax/email technology and multitask
Personal Suitability: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Client focus, Organized, Reliability.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, large workload.
Operating systems and computer applications knowledge: Sage 50 and Sage 300 accounting software, Quick Books, Electronic mail, Spreadsheet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Internet, MS Windows.
Ability to supervise 3-4 people
Language: English is required


$43.24 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information: This position requires working 8 hours per day. Work schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Overtime/Saturdays work may be required.
